1. What Data We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, and hashed password when you create an account.
  • Billing information: payment method details are collected and processed by our secure payment processor. We store transaction IDs and credit balances but never store full card numbers.
  • Usage data: machine configurations, session durations, resource consumption, and general usage patterns to operate and improve the service.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you visit our site.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the CloudRig service.
  • To process payments and manage your credit balance.
  • To send transactional emails such as verification codes, password resets, low-balance warnings, and billing receipts.
  • To monitor for abuse, fraud, and security threats.
  • To improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties only as needed to operate the service:

  • GPU infrastructure partner: provides the GPU cloud infrastructure that powers CloudRig virtual machines. Machine configuration and session data is shared to provision and manage your VMs.
  • Our PCI-compliant payment partner: processes all payments. Your payment details are handled directly by our payment processor and subject to their privacy policy.
  • Resend: delivers transactional emails on our behalf. Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose.
  • PostHog: product analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. It receives the pages you view, clicks, the referring website or campaign link, approximate location derived from your IP address, and, if you are signed in, your account ID, name and email.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Machine state is preserved for 24 hours after a machine is stopped. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed immediately, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., billing records for tax purposes). Our database is hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-2 region).

5. Your Rights

  • Access: you can download a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time from Settings → Export My Data.
  • Correction: you can update your account information at any time from your dashboard.
  • Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, without contacting support, from Settings → Delete Account.
  • Portability: you can export your data in a machine-readable JSON format at any time from Settings → Export My Data.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please contact us at security@cloudrig.space.
